Short answer: they do different jobs. Shopify Collabs is an affiliate app — links, codes, commissions, payouts. DiscoCollabs runs what happens after a gifted sample ships: finding out who got it, getting the content back, and keeping the rights on record. If you pay creators commission, keep Collabs. If you gift samples and chase posts, that's the gap DiscoCollabs fills. Plenty of brands will run both.

They land in Shopify with no creator name attached. With DiscoCollabs, the box you pack carries a QR; the creator scans it and identifies themselves. Boxes TikTok packs in its own warehouses (FBT) can't carry an insert.
